Are Your Products FDA Approved?
Our products are premium, high-end, USA-made. Cosmetics are not registered with the FDA, but the FDA regulates cosmetics and their labeling. Claims that intended to affect/change structure of skin, hair or body are considered drug claims by the FDA. Any product with these claims will be considered not-approved drugs, and selling not approved drugs is illegal. While cosmetics are not required to be registered with the FDA, it is important to note that the FDA does regulate skincare and hair care and their labeling. Specifically, the FDA pays close attention to claims that are intended to alter or impact the structure of the skin, hair, or body. Such claims are considered drug claims by the FDA. Are There Some Ingredients That May Cause A Reaction To My Skin?

Our products are made with natural and organic ingredients, however, they are not certified all-natural or organic. Now, if irritation occurs with a product please review the following to make sure you have not participated in any of these actions.
Diet - Too much sugar, gluten, and dairy may cause breakouts or flare-ups within the skin.
Too Many Products - Incorporating too many new products in a routine should not be encouraged, instead, try utilizing one new product each month to stay on top of any irritation. Give your skin's cell turnover a proper full cycle to adapt.
Allergy - Unknown allergy within ingredients. Always patch test products before use and check each ingredient list on each individual product page on our site or found listed on all bottles/jars. If burning, or itching occurs, stop usage. Slight tingling is normal for some ingredients.
Application - When and how formulas are applied make all the difference, such as not rinsing off a cleanser fully or using a Vitamin A during the day. Always review how you apply your products and in what particular order you use them.
(Just as a general rule/education purposes, for some other products you may already have Retinol / Retinyl Palmitate / Vitamin A ) - To prevent irritation do not combine with Salicylic Acid, Vitamin C, or use during the day. Avoid usage when pregnant or nursing, and always contact your physician should you have any questions.

How Long Will It Take To Receive My Order?

Your Trace of Essence products will ship to your door in about 5-7 business days. This time may vary depending your order size. At this time, we only ship orders in the United States.
What Is Your Payment, Refund, And Return Policy?

If your item or items have been damaged during shipping, we will gladly issue a refund for your order or resend your products. Email a photo of your damaged products with your Order # as the "subject" to karen@mytraceofessence.com.
More about our returns policy;
We may accept returns and provide refunds, credits, or exchanges for products purchased in the last 30 days in some circumstances:
1. When a customer receives a product that is different from what was ordered;
2. When products are determined to be defective and photos proving proof of the damages can be provided;
3. Other circumstances will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
It is our policy to only accept returns of unopened, unused, and sellable items and only when accompanied by a pre-approved RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization). Requests for RMAs must be made through our customer service department at karen@mytraceofessence.com and can only be accepted for orders under 30 days old.
All returns must be shipped back using the return label provided by customer service. Returned products that are determined to be non-defective may be subject to a 20% restocking fee.
